A "Jewish State" and a "State for the Jews" are 2 completely different things. The confusion between the terms dates to the Balflour declaration. A Jewish State means the laws are based on the Torah and Jews are guaranteed political control regardless of demographic changes. A state for the Jews means that regardless of demographic changes or even political control Jews are guaranteed the right to live there in peace and to use the state as a refuge at any time. When (not if) the next Hitler arises in the world, Jews would have somewhere to go with a nuclear umbrella to protect them instead of being turned away to die in gas chambers. While everyone is focused on the first definition which is problematic in all kinds of ways, the second definition is absolutely a necessity for a just peace, and in no way contradicts anything in Islam whatsoever.
