Forget if the refusnick has morals trying to compare a refusenick to a soldier kidnapped during his course of duty is hardly a just comparison and its morally wrong to even try compare them. If a soldier was shot and died in the line of duty would that compare to the refusenick sitting in a Tel Aviv coffee shop? One man is a hero who died protecting his country the other man is not because being a refusenick doesn't stop wars happening but it does make it harder to win them, what would happen if large numbers of soldiers decided to become refusenicks and we were attacked by Assad would those refusenicks say lets solve this by going to the UN to broker a diplomatic solution with Assad because as there are so many refusenicks the IDF is not capable of fighting and winning a war if we are up against the dull might of the Syrian military? We are officially not occupying any Lebanese territory even the UN confirms that but we are attacked by Hezbollah because they operate on Irans instructions and in Lebanon they are a law unto themselves because nobody dares stand up to them because they are stronger than the Lebanese national army and in some parts of he country they are very popular, do soldiers say to the givernment we will not fight Hezbollah so you go make peace with them? How many people claiming to be refusenicks are actually people who just don't want to go into the army so they claim to be refusenicks then they are heroes in the left rather than just draft dodgers? What about haredi joining the army clashes with their Torah lifestyle and also in some sects they do not believe jews are entitled to a country until the messiah comes so by forcibly drafting them your asking them to go against their beliefs and fight for a country they don't believe should exist because the messiah has not come yet, the secular population love to hate haredi and want to see them in the army so do you think we should forcibly draft them or go force them to go against their beliefs and morals by serving in the army against their will?
