Peter, Just because the Israeli far right believed Oslo meant the end of their dreams of expansion, doesn't mean Israel was committed to a two state solution. Please read my post more carefully. Israel wanted to retain control of the land, but wanted the non-Jews to police themselves and stay out of the way of the settlers. All we can do is look at the historical record and make our conclusions...If Israel had been committed to a viable Palestinian State, then this provision would have been written into the original Oslo framework.
