This is the same Rubenstein who is calling Israel an "Apartheit State" in London looking at simplistic solutions to deep seated hatreds. The problem is not economical it is simply that the arabs will not be satisfied until Israel is gone. There will not be any place for so-called logical compromises when the "arab street" refuses to accept any solution except Israeli destruction. It is naive to believe that any short term solution will satisfy the arab masses. Abbas cannot deliver the "arab street" and Haaretz, Peres and the leftist press cannot wish it. It may take centuries for Israel to vanish but the arabs are content to wait and let thir people starve and slide further into backwardness. It is such a pity!
