They don't accept Chabad conversions...(Chabad isn't orthodox)? I had to do a giyur lechumra with my children. I am so glad my oldest was only 4 and had no idea what was going on, since I have heard of children, fully orthodox, raised frum all of their lives, who have permanent scars from having to convert after having their perfectly kosher conversions cancelled. They don't accept RCA conversions. A friend had to fight very hard and for an entire year to be allowed to be married in Israel because her conversion was signed on by Reb Moshe Feinstein ob'm (only one of the greatest poskim of the latter half of the 20th century) but because she wasn't "chareidi" enough, they almost refused to let her get married, and this was BEFORE 2006! I have friend who cannot make aliyah because they have converted Chabad or Modern Orthodox. This is madness and is a shanda
