The question "occupied from whom?" is irrelevent to international law. The correct question is "occupied BY whom?". As in: if your army seizes this territory by force of arms then your army has just become an "occupying power", not a "sovereign", and this territory has just become "occupied territory", not "your territory". Everything else is a moot point.
