Taking Bibi at his word, the meaning of his remark is clear. To wit: We know that we will keep Gilo. Therefore the possibility that we would stop construction in Gilo temporarily, -in order to complete the peace process based on our obligations under the Road Map agreement, -will not cost us anything strategically. It poses no real risk that we would lose Gilo, -and yet we cannot bring ourselves to make this simple gesture that we agreed to do when we signed the Road Map. The real strategic risk is that a stop to Settlement construction would make a peace agreement unavoidable.
