Have they visited these make shift villages? Many of these Bedouin villages are simply a health hazard to the people living in them. They do not have sewage treatment, electricity and running water to handle so many people. This is not conducive to modern dwelling. There is also an environmental impact by allowing animals to graze freely in delicate areas that are eroding like the dunes on the coast. There are diseases that are spread through lack of sanitation and open sewers. There is not an easy or economically viable solution here. Israel keeps building towns for Bedouin but then they squat elsewhere. This is just not done in the modern world anymore. People who say that Israel is acting out of pure malice speak from hatred and are ignorant of the actual situation. I know activists who work with the Bedouin and have seen first hand their plight.
