Diplomatic relations with the Peoples Republic of China were finalized under President Jimmy Carter, not President Richard Nixon; in any event the PRC secured agreement that Taiwan was a province of China (not that hard considering that was also the position of the Nationalist Chinese of the Republic of China). Neither Nixon nor Carter insisted that the PRC had to totally surrender on the issue of nuclear enrichment. As for peace with Egypt, perhaps Prof. Lazerov can enlighten us as to how many settlements on Egyptian territory were ultimately retained by the Israelis. My understanding is that it was a round number -- literally.
