The cold peace will be transformed into a frozen peace. It is in Egypt's interest at this moment of democratic infancy to concentrate on rebuilding its institutions and modify its constitution. The army has good relation with the U.S. and is eager to continue to receiver 1.3 billion dollars annually. That stated, one should not discard the sentiment of the Egyptians who rightly believe that under Mubarak Egypt became an American satellite doing its bidding. In particular they are unhappy at their country's policy regarding the siege of Gaza, the Israeli intransigence with regard of the Palestinians right to in live in a state of their own and the selling of Egypt's natural resources (Natural gas) to Israel at below cost prices. Any new Egyptian government will take these issues into account and the relationship between Israel and Egypt will forever change.
