Note that all along, the people in Egypt and Jordan have been very hostile to Israel. According to Moslem doctrine, the land of Israel is owned by Moslems ("wakf") and cannot be given away. So while secularist dictators can make peace, they are not making it on behalf of their populace, which is overwhelming Moslem. Therefore, whenever a dictatorship is overthrown by the people, it is likely that a peace agreement will not be respected.
