The need to preempt Iran and export gas to Egypt was the reason the government gave to push through its controversial plan for Israel's natural gas. Now, this reason may no longer exist.08:52 31.08.15 | 1 comments
I have been reading your proposals and they make me smile. Back in the late seventies and early eighties I was a "kablan" bringing workers in from Gaza. I used to enjoy sitting with my Israeli friends drinking coffee and talking politics. In those days the right said there was no one to speak with. The left would say, that if Arafat recongnized Israel, then the PLO would have to change it's identity and cease to exist. It is now the twenty-first century and the right is saying there is no one to talk with, and the left is saying that Hamas will be forced to change. The PLO did not change. Hamas is not looking to change either. Even if they recognize Israel, I cannot go back, unless I seek trouble. the role and rights of women in society are being rolled back as we speak. This Mr. Lincoln is an autocratic governemnt, in every respect. Ms. Dutch, please be quiet, these gentlemen are trying to have an intelligent discussion. Thank you.
