For the usual suspects who wish only for Israel to continue on the path towards some hellish Massada there will be hysterical outpourings and rejection of Mr Beilin's suggestions. For those who now face only the annual visits to cemeteries and the identification of their loved one's names on yet another national "andarta", for those who really care about the kind of future Israel offers to its successive generations, there will be an authentic ring about what Mr Beilin proposes. Israel is a "never land" - never to make peace with Egypt, nor with Jordan. But we did. Now is the time for never - with Lebanon and the Palestinians.
