If it is so obvious that this is *the* core issue of a 60+ year conflict then why, exactly, has no previous Israeli PM made this demand? Begin did not demand it of Egypt before he would sign the treaty. Rabin did not insist upon it at Oslo, nor did Netanyahu when he "renegotiated" the Accords at Wye River. It never occured to Barak at Camp David, while Olmert (apparently) was quite unaware that this Explained Everything. Only now, yet all the apologists now insist that this is blindingly obvious. That's one mighty big epiphany, guys.... either that, or a top-class collective back-flip of truly heroic proportions....
