    What choice do the Palestinians have? They can formally surrender and accept defeated status in an ersatz "state" that that keeps them subservient to the Israelis. Or they can do nothing. The question is, can the Israelis sit on them forever, as Netanyahu and the toughs think, or will outside pressure force a change to a binational state. At this point, it's a gamble, but it probably now makes more sense for the Palestinians to sit tight.
