The Israeli Declaration of Independence declares the establishment of a Jewish state in the land of Israel to be known as the "State of Israel." The UN accepted for membership the "State of Israel." Every country with whom Israel has relations does so in the name of the "State of Israel." The PLO recognized the "State of Israel" in 1993. The Arab League offered a peace proposal to the "State of Israel" in 2000. Now Israel has thought of a new name for itself, and the Palestinians must refer to that name to enter peace talks? That is no more than a dodge to continue the illegal occupation of Palestinian territory. The world chuckles at it. Nothing was accepted about a state of Israel at the end of the 19th century nor under Balfour. A proposal does not represent acceptance. The first international legal recognition of Israel occurred on 14 May 1948 when Israel declared itself a state under UN resolution 181. The rest of your post, Mr. Eitan, is typical Israeli paranoia.
