Very rich: Israel made it clear peace was not on the agenda as they are intent on keeping land. Provoking a response is hardly justification. Nonetheless, if Israel needs the land for security, and the Palestinians need investment to build their economy, maybe the Palestinians may be willing to sell it to Israel over a 50 year period, on terms. It could form a mutual interest. The alternative is that Israel uses force, a solution it has become vastly too comfortable, and does not reflect the history of its people, which has been around allies. Allies are essential.
