It's all a matter of image for Israel. No less. The language used by israeli leaders has always been the language of force. The language towards the israeli people has always been the language of force. The army is such an institution in Israel. It's above everything. Settlers are well represented in the army as well. Israel has been fighting 'terror'. The palestinians have always been the evil side. The israeli public only sees the palestinians as a danger, as potential terrorists. Israelis do not think from a palestinian perspective. They will never ever feel responsible for the Nakba. Now anything the palestinians do is a threat, a scam. Arafat recognized Israel in 88 but it was a manipulation in order to get more land and get Palestine back. 'Arabs are lyers' we often read, 'we cannot trust the arabs', 'they are not educated and civilized' that's the eternal cliché of the colonial times we read, even today.........ignorance in Israel is such a shame. Israel will always find an excuse not to make peace. Israel will always say it feels threatened by the palestinians in order not to make peace, even if Israel is a nuclear power. This is pure manipulation.
