In all Latin and Scandinavian languages, the word for "Easter" comes from the Greek word and hence from the Aramaic word for Pesach. I wonder when the Jews stopped sacrificing lambs on Pesach. Was that a consequence of the destruction of the temple, or was that a change that happened before that? Was there perhaps a connection between the stopping of lamb sacrifices and the Christian change of the Pesach traditions? It wouldn't be surprising if there was, since the Christian religion started as a sect inside Judaism.
