While many Israeli leaders have played their games for their own reasons, to lump the entire problem of past and present failures of the peace process only on Israeli leaders is somewhat masocistic. The Arab leaders have been playing their games often with alot more sophistication and success than the Israeli leaders.Let us not ignore the de facto alliance between Arafat and Hamas, where Hamas and friends where used as the pressure tool to advance negotiations Arafats way.Perhaps as to be expected with so much at stake and so many competing internal agendas for leaders to deal with, both sides have been trying to "create facts" under the radar screen while they talk their best game in public. Also because both sides know full well that the postions which would satisfy important internal constituents are simply not acceptable to the other side, therefore introducing an element of force into the equation, as each tries to force the other to accept things that they know the other would not willingly. These negotiations in the end will fail, as the minimums and maximums of both will not be acceptable to the other.IT WILL TAKE AN IMPOSED SETTLEMENT BY THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY to bring this situation to an end.To blame the whole problem on the Israeli leaders is simply not honest nor accurate.
