She must be joking! What else is this absurd 'peace process'? Does Anyone believe something will happen? Olmert already backtracks on his previous statements: he will only give a `declaration of principles for establishing a Palestinian state` What is that? Hasn`t he already done that many times before? Olmert has zero support at home for any serious peace talks, since making -real- peace would force Israel to give up many national idefixes. Israelis prefer the certainty of the continuation of the present status (war and destruction) over the uncertainties of peace. Abbas is a total zero in the eyes of the Palestinians, he lives by the sake of his security services. Hamas is in chaos and cetainly not willing to talk seriously with Israel. Dr Rice is starting to look like a diplomatic charicature, full of wise statements, empty of any content.
