In five years time we may decide that the attacks on Sderot was the defining end of a two-state solution to the conflict. The Israeli public, regardless of what may be written in Ha'aretz, is tired and has simply had enough of them, and no longer cares about what happens to the Palestinians. Israel is still millitarily stronger and if it decides to act without political or humanitarian constraints the Palestinians are done with. I had never thought that transfer of the Palestinian population would ever become a popular option, but as Palestinians continue on their selected road to tragedy, it very clearly and increasingly will. There will be a terrible end for them in all this I think, and they fail to see they have chosen the path of disaster. If a war starts with Syria and Hezbollah, it will bring the end of Hamas and Fatah, not the victory they desire.
