This article seems to dance around the true situation happening at the time. There is a tremendous amount of proof that Arabs were preparing for a large war of annihilation against Israel (per headlines, speeches, even the Arab street protests). There is also proof that a good portion of Pals hated Jordanians which were quite brutal in their rule. And there is proof that Israel had ever intention to use the newly gotten lands in a peace deal rather than the Arab claims of expansion to "Biblical Jewish Kingdom" borders. But what really happened? Pals were disorganized and not ready to rule, the PLO (a terrorist group) was not diplomatic enough to rule, and neighboring Arabs were too hurt to accept peace. Even if Pals said YES to peace, Arabs said NO in Khartoum. Again, the Arabs screwed the Pals to the wall!
