His argument is that the oh so concerned liberal academics in England are in fact shooting the peace effort as well as themselves and the Israeli left in the foot. He is arguing the very sound concept that the tactics any sane person uses are ones which do not unnecessarily harm his cause. And in the case of the boycott, it does ONLY harm to the cause of peace.
