Harzion is not up to date in his claim that, were we truly concerned about the Palestinians, we would wish them anything but Jordanian law. Their laws are currently based on a mix of Ottoman, British and Jordanian rules and precedents. The EU has been working with the PA for two years+ to codify these, remove contradictory laws and produce a modern jurisprudence system suited to a (nominally) Muslim democracy. In short, Palestine is not and will not be under 'Jordanian laws'.
