What a sad comment indeed. Do you really believe for a moment that you and your successors (the generations yet to come) can live in an environment remotely representing peaceful and natural existence in the denial/deprivation of Palestinian identity? For your own sake I pray not. Yes, Dani, I am a Palestinian, first and foremost and there is nothing you can do to deprive me of that ? no matter how hard you may endeavour or how long you may hold onto our lands. My father before me was a Palestinian, and his forefathers for far too long before him. Although you may have succeeded (for a while) of occupying our lands, Palestine does in fact very much exist in each and every one of us (I dare say a much larger number than of Israelis everywhere!). If anything, it says a lot that we Palestinians (the victims) have come around to acknowledging you ? but you (the victimiser) refuse to acknowledge us; with all your current awesome powers, your denial of Palestine exhibits your real insecurities and the apparent fear of one day to come natural justice. I, for one, am ready to acknowledge you, but only if and when you are able to acknowledge and respect my right to my identity. I am not nor will ever be what you wish me to ? I am a Palestinian and so are my children and theirs after them ? rest assured of that simple fact. I pray you too will soon wrench off your insecure prejudices.
