'A family is a father, mother and children, and not two fathers and a child,' said Avi Wurtzman during his previous Knesset stint. While doing nothing to advance socioeconomic issues, he did initiate a 23 million shekel project for daily study of Torah.09:29 01.12.15 | 1 comments
Israel should not have 'palestinian' citizens. It should only have Israeli citizens. How these citizens pray (if they do), where their grandparents came from and such like questions have nothing to do with being a citizen ... or should not have anything to do with citizizenship. People living in Israel should all have general residency status until they participate in national service. During national service (military or otherwise as designated by the Knesset) the general residency status becomes full citizenship with voting for the Knesset allowed. Voting in municipal elections should be allowed under general residency status. A country can legitimately expect loyalty to the country from all those who vote for the governing parliament. Many Arabs and religious Jews are not loyal to Israel (many ARE loyal); those NOT loyal (and the parliament/Knesset determines loyalty) should NOT be voting for the Knesset. These are some commonsense attitudes which Israelis should give some thought to.
