The Palestinian Christians profess a deep patriotism for the Palestinian cause because they are clearly a threatened group within their own society. It's a natural reaction- trust me, as a Jew we are used to being seen as outsiders in our own host country, and trying to figure out how to protect ourselves from our suspicious hosts. Look at all the Jews who fought bravely for Germany in World War 1 and received medals (and look what it ultimately got them). But eventually, the Christian Gazans will be unable to continue a peaceful life under a clerical Hamas regime. And with their long history there it is a tragedy.
