a la Kosovo. The example of Kosovo which is recognized by several countries of the International community is compelling ( Palestine will be recognized by most..I doubt regarding the United Satetes) That type of Kosovo Palestinians state is a "quasi sovereignty" which can perfectly be "quitely" accepted by Israel, IF security arrengements are established in factual agreement between Fayyad the United States the quartet and Israel. In more sense than one the situation will be no different than nowadays. What does it mean? Economic peace, institutional building, Palestinian policing with the aid of the americans and Israel( as it is being done today and it is working just fine). No Iranians Hizbalah and Hammas will be allowed to enter into the "free sovereign state" of Palestine. What about israel settlements????? That is the question and my bet is that some of them which are in the other side of the fence will be removed and others will become palestinian cities. This is the price israel will pay for this move. Not so bad . The fence will be the de facto "non recognzied " border for another 40 years at least. The resul is t: No peace no war, and a benign status quo. Good for the palestinians.. good for israel.
