The Palestinians have the right to live in their homes, they have a right to their own economy, to water and to control their own resources. Israelis have the right to security. These two rights can be reconciled and the right to Jerusalem can also as long as there are clear boundaries defining the Jewish Quarter in the Old City. Also the boundaries of Gilo need to be defined too. And given the lousy bus service from Gilo to downtown Jerusalem I can well imagine that if Gilo residents without cars were given the option to live in some of the nicer neighborhoods in West Jerusalem they would take it. The Palestinian PM's words are very nice, but they won't deliver anything unless the issue of grotesque inequality in his state in the making is dealt with, and the same issue needs to be dealt with in Israel.
