there was no Palestine in 1947. nor before that for that matter. There were two peoples, and there was a British Mandate, and a UN. The UN divided the land for the two peoples. One people rejected the plan and declared war. with the backing of Arab nations all of whom (with the possible exception of King Abdullah of Jordan) were intent on the full destruction of the Jews. Palestinian leadership had been sitting in Berlin with Hitler until the end of the war. What is not clear about that historical situation? A site for a concentration camp near Jerusalem for Jews had already been earmarked. Israel was not created at the expense of Palestine. The Palestinians and Arab world rejected a two state solution-committing themselves to a genocidal policy. And now they are crying over spilled milk,,,blood, whatever you want to call it. It is time for the Arab world to take responsibility for the policies they have supported, for the societies they have created. And time for Palestinians to take responsibility for their own mess, if they truly want to run a country and pursue peace. Recognize Israel,A bit clearer now?
