It's hard to believe that any people would ignore a site as important as the Gihon Spring for thousands of years. The oldest flint tools and pottery fragments found in pits in the bedrock there are from the Chalcolithic Period. Perhaps they should take a second look at the flint tools found in the German Colony neighborhood. P.S. Jerusalem may still have been divided by elephants and lions!
