Good article which describes the hardship of the younger generation. Add to that the extreme price increases in real estate making it impossible for them to even get mortgages, and the exploitation of landlords renting them over-priced apartments. The over-60-somethings all benefited from un-indexed mortgages back in the early 1980's and that's how they got to purchase cottages and villas where they are now. If they had to pay current prices for them there's no way they would be able to afford them. And these people sit on their high horses and dictate to the younger generation, having left them an economic mess to clear up in the future. It's just exacerbating the extreme inequalities prevalent in society today.
