Also addressing Holocaust Day ceremony at Yad Vashem, President Reuven Rivlin apologizes to survivors who 'have never received the respect they deserve.'20:46 04.05.16 | 0 comments
A just and lasting peace is a one that is worth the sacrifice and not just cosmetic. It's a peace where both sides deal with their criminals. We hear a lot here about Israeli 'criminals': people who smash windscreens and most of us see that breaking the law is a criminal act and that it should be investigated and the person tried and punished. Arabs are never considered by other Arabs or their supporters here to be criminals. Never arrested: never tried: never jailed. When do they blame Arabs here? When does Haaretz list Arab crimes? Two Hamasniks escaped into Israel today and were encouraged and cheered. What kind of cooperation is that? Equal responsibility before the law is the start of a 'just peace'. Since you are against 'settlers' (Does that include Tel Aviv?) you might not agree with me.
