As another point in all this. I find it incredible to see the stupidity of people (including political leaders) to be rejoicing in the murder/death of a political enemy. Ever since Jesus it has been obvious that killing a person who's ideas you may hate does not kill their ideas - it really PROMOTES THEM. The Roman Empire which persecuted Christians eventually converted to Christian values. Hence, making one's enemy into a martyr does not give more credibility to your advancement of your values (supposedly freedom and democracy). FURTHER, the US has been instrumental since WWII of killing thousands of innocent people under either crony dictatorships ( Latin America , Africa Mid East etc ) or with direct involvement ( e.g in Iraq and Afghanistan ) as well as by proxy in Palestine via Israeli actions - does anyone wonder after all this - why the poor of the Third World try to fight the US via any means? The raving masses in the US dancing at the news of the killing also show that whilst the barbaric acts of terrorists are to be condemned their acts of reveling in somebody else's death is equally barbaric - so where is the great ethical example we in the West are supposedly setting the world?

from the article: Will bin Laden killing pave way for similar moves by Israel?
