I think the slogan "kill or be killed", more suitable for al-Qaida, is inspired by the Betar anthem (written by Jabotinsky) which concludes with the lines "To die or to conquer the mountain/ Yodefet, Masada, Betar." The three cities mentioned are places of defeat of the Jews by the Romans after heroic resistance. But Netanyahu misses the point: The point is not to kill enemy soldiers. There must be a strategic goal for which you fight to the death. What is Netanyahu's strategic goal? Had he known, he would have come up with a more reasonable slogan.
