It should be no surprise that the opposition has "failed" and that it might be possible to complete the uprooting of the Jews of Gaza so quickly. The Israeli army, the strongest army in the Middle East and one of the strongest armies in the world, has committed massive resources to the "Disengagement." The oppostion declared in advance that the Israeli army and police was not it's enemy and that resistance would be passive. So why then are people surprised that the "Disengagement" is going so smoothly? Probably beacause the left-wing oriented media in general, and Haaretz in particular, has demonized the so-called settlers for being so extreme, violent and militant that many people believed that as a group they would attack the police and army with weapons of every kind. The "settlers" love the Jewish Nation, Israel and the Torah so what a stupid and malicicious presumption that they would go to war with their own people. Every group has it's extremists, but the focus of the media on the extremism of the settlers has been a cover-up for diverting attention from the real crime here - the expulsion of thousands of people from their homes for the simple reason that they are Jews. And unfortunately, the huge resources of Zahal will soon need to used against their real enemy - Hamas, Hizbullah and the like who believing the reason for the "Disengagement" is weakness will soon begin a real war against Israel.
