Rogge should somewhere in his Opening Ceremony speech, where he’ll be the one declaring the “XXX (can’t remember the number/numeral, Roman or not) Olympiad Games Open” (I think he does it, not sure, but he does speak at the Opening nonetheless) is work into his remarks something like this (the nearer the beginning of his speech the better): “Now, in the Olympic Spirit, I ask each and every one of you present here, and all those watching this Opening Ceremony around the world at this time, to pause with me now for a one minute ‘moment of silence’ in honor and remembrance of the Athletes, Coaches and Referees, Olympians all, who were lost to us forever 40 years ago during the XXXth Summer Olympiad held in Munich, Germany. Now please join me in that one minute ‘moment of silence’. [One minute pause] Thank you. Let us forever remember them and all Olympians we have lost.”
