This is the kind of thing that will convince the rest of the United States of two things: that Israel has way too much influence on New York politicians, and that Jewish people in New York put the interests of Israel ahead of those of the country in which they hold citizenship. The internet is changing the political landscape in the US and New York is losing influence. Wrong move if they want to win over anybody besides New Yorkers (who you have already won over).
