WILLIAM KAMPLE - CIA spied for the Soviets in the 70s - punishment 19 years. DAVID HENERY BARNET - CIA - spied for Soviets in 70s - punishment 18 years. SHARON SCRONGE - CIA - spied for the Soviets in the 80s - punishment 5 years paroled after 2 years.HAROLD JAMES NICHLSON - CIA - spied for Russia in the 90s - punishment 23.5 years. JONATHAN POLLARD - Navy intelligence - spied for Israel - punishment life must serve 30 years before parol can be considered. The only American spy who has been given a harsher sentence is Aldrich Ames the longest operating spy who was a CIA man and was given life without parol. it doesn't matter if Pollard gave Israel only relevant to its own security or more fact is Israel was a friendly country not like the Soviet Union who was an enemy working to undermine American national security. The reason Pollard got such a harsh sentence was because he was spying for a friendly nation rather than the Soviets and the US wanted to make an example out of him.
