what amazes me is that gideon levy is in the minority in his beliefs. it's sad really. israel's entire existence is built upon the blood of palestinians, and yet people wonder why "the jews continue to suffer." here's an idea: when you come in with guns blazing, with blatant disregard for the lives of those whom you oppress daily, chances are, you're not going to get much peace. i'm against any kind of violence, period. no violence can be said to be righteous. but when you dispossess, starve, humiliate, murder and plunder an entire people, can you really expect any other response? israel says that it's being generous by saying, hey, we took over you house because people in our old neighborhood persecuted us, but we'll be kind and let you live in the corner of the backyard. see world? see how generous we are? why can't these people just see our kindness and live in that wonderful dirty corner that we've left for them. why must they persecute us? the roadmap is simple.
