The US has been working this problem or decades and we are not going to resolve the issue, unless both sides offer a compromise. The compromise required by both sides seems next to impossible. After decades and thousands of life lost, damage to property in the billions, it is very unlikely a solution will be reached. Israel wants the Palestinians to stop firing rockets into Israel, recognize its right to to exist and accept that they will continue building the houses in the "Israeli land". The Palestinians want Jerusalem as their capital city, want Israel to stop building in the "Palestinian land" and give it up, then just move away from the land of Israel, and will not codify in Law Israels' right to exist. Now even if Israel gave the all of Jerusalem and freed every prisoner, it would never be resolved. As long as Israel exist, there will always be problems. I say we we should make a public statement that if they cannot come to an agreement and follow it, we are out of it forever. Let them work it out by themselves because we have not been able to help and it is costing us dearly!
