A very clear analysis but not a very realistic one given the current lack of leadership in the US. As Lebanon is reduced to rubble and Iraq awash in blood and chaos, where do we find the president of the nation that should be leading? Home on the range, that's where. The Perle,Kristol,Feith cheering section for a more "robust" policy toward Iran and Syria (euphemism for "Bomb Em"!) are not in the decline and as for the Hagee horde of end of the worlders just waiting for Armageddon so all us Jews will fall into the arms of Jesus who will return with his terrible swift sword, well... The Israeli Ambassador addressed their rally provided embraces and words of praise. Skullcaps were even to be seen in the crowd. Bush feels at home with these wrathful watchmen. So? Where's the meat, Mr Levy? The leadership? Risktakers who will break this cycle? Certainly not in DC, nor in TA. Therewe only find politicans and generals taking us to Armageddon.
