The point is that without weapons support for rebels, it will be very difficult to move Assad. And rest assured, Assad will not "spare the rod" with respect to his many, many enemies. If that is the best solution for the international community, then I guess Navi is right. I would have thought that oppressive and abusive dictators is not what the international community wants. In short, Navi is right but is he realistic????
