I didn't yet read the mentionned article in BR. However in the Haaretz coverage article there's allarming and quite symptomatic contradiction between two statements: 1. "...an article... that denies the Holocaust." 2. which "... claims that Zionist movement leaders tried to advance the establishment of the Nazi regime in the 1930's, in hopes that "the tension between the Germans and the Jews would lead to massive immigration to Palestine"." Now any honest person without any experience in academic research will tell you that the second sentence does not mean "denial of the Holocaust". And anyone with some academic experience in social sciences will tell you that all the ideologies emerge and function within their historical contexts and goals and later on are rewritten according to the needs of present day. Zionist movement or the historiography of the Holocaust in is no exception in these numerous case studies.
