I want to believe you are sincere. That there is hope. About the "refugee" issue, you wrote:"They (Arabs) are convinced that Israel, at best, does not understand the problem. But they also see the contemptuous way with which Israel deals with it." What I see is human suffering. That's never been hard to understand. But I also see that the Arab states, from Egypt to Kuwait, treated in the past, and still treat, the Arabs from Gaza and Judea, Samaria, badly. I read a recent story about a Gazan Arab who, upon returning from Egypt, said he would fight Israel, but really hated the Egyptians. We remember the refusal of the Arab countries to assimilate their brethren and use them as pawns of hate, while Israel took in a million Jews from Arab countries, the failure to build a "Palestinian State" from 1948-67, and wonder why the Arabs expect us to treat Pals better than they did? If the Arabs accept their share of blame, and obligations, maybe we can all start anew. Shalom!
