Although Ramon's case per se has absolutely nothing to do with Gush Katif, there is an element of connectivity both with that sad saga and the ongoing cases of corruption and morals by other personalities in our government. And the link is arrogance. In thought word and deed over the years these "arrogants" all succeeded to ram their political philosophies, for which we are all paying dearly now and will in the future, "down others' throats." I remember well the disgust I felt years ago watching Ramon with clentched teeth and "drunk with power," threaten other Jews as he uttered "...we will crush you..." Despite vociferous arguments by these victims against such arrogant "public servants," the current suspects continued to trample on the legal and moral rights of those in their midst. Whether poetic justice or a divine hand, the ongoing travail of these "arrogants" and their ultimate fall seems nothing less than well deserved.
