Why did olmert not meet with Yaalon when he offered his services during the Lebanon war? He dismissed his offer and relied on Halutz, who any civilian knew was an air force man and did not give a wide view of the war. Why didn't arrgant he meet with Yaalon? he cost Israel with the needless loss of Israeli soldiers. Olmert is not a PM, he is an inside politician who has no real views. He wants quiet. What will he give-everything: E. jerusalem, temple mount, 100% of west bank except for some settler areas in return for arab control of transit path from GAZA which by the way divides israel by half. The PLO will attack Israel from 2 sides and it will never stop until Yaalon type olicies are instituted. So why does olmert have such difficulties with the military? Anything he has done militarily has injured him-his army service where he was injured, Lebanon 2 war where he failed. Olmert is tired. Israel is tired of him. Resign!!!!
