The "HURVA" (ruins) synagogue site goes back to the 2nd century. 3rd Century Mikvahs were found there. Through destruction and rebuilding it has remained through the centuries. It is older than Islam. It is part of ancient Israel. It is in a part of Jerusalem that Jordan occupied from 1948-1967 during which time no Jew was allowed to go there. If ANYONE deserves to have a "day of rage" it should be the people of Israel, in response to the hatred, denial and disdain of the Arabs.
