I don't understand why all of the big fuss. Sharon and old Israel has not changed and will not change. Israel still committed to expanding borders well beyond Palestine. We will need and see when the day will come when Sharon and Israel will force these criminal settlers out of Gaza, let alone the West Bank. While it is sad to say that the Palestinians do not have a powerful non-violence movement, they are moving that directions. The left in Israel does not have the vision to form a partnerships with Arabs and Palestinian and conduct a campain that will win the hearts and minds of both reluctant Israelis and reluctant Palestinians. I believe the majority of Palestinians have accepted the idea of a Jewish Israel, yet the majority of Israel continue to think of "transfer". If Israel truely wants peace, then Sharon should travel to Ramallah to Riyadh and Damascus and peace will be there the next day.Until the day we see Israel out of Gaza and Gaza is not surrounded by an the IDF and barbed wires, at least this writer is not taking Sharon seriously. However having said this, only Sharon has the courage to make peace. Barak and Perez may talk of peace, but do not have the courage to do it. If Barak and Perez wanted peace they could have done it during their watch.
